father-in-law Honda CRV problem
My father-in law bought a new CRV last year. He's been having a problem with the battery lately. If the CRV sits for a day it wont stat, dead battery. He brought it into the dealer & they keep telling him it's because he doesnt drive it enough, today's cars have a lot of electronics & need to be driven. I'm not sure but I think he takes it out about 5 times a week.
Are they just blowing him off? What's your opinion?

I had a similar problem a few years back. I measured the current draw with an ammeter and found it to be high when the car was off. I started pulling fuses one by one until the current draw went away. It turned out that I had a power antenna that was not shutting off when it was retracted. I re-wired it to kill power when the key was off and it was cured. A tech who knows what he is doing should easily be able to do the same thing for your dad.
It is not normal for a car to sit just 1 day and have a dead battery.
Mark's suggestion of fuse pulling is a good idea. But an one year old car should have warranty... Let Honda do this fuse pulling and diagnostics.

I third that. Take the car where you bought it from and if they give you attitude call American Honda Consumer Affairs. Make sure you tell the dealer that is your next step if they blow you off.
