Default Interior Noise

Not many complaints about the car, but I do have an annoying interior noise....It seems to come from the passenger side, roof area....there is a support "tube" that runs the length of of the convertible top (from driver side to passenger side) It's a clicking noise, and when a passenger "braces the support "tube" the noise is gone....This "tube" as I call it ties into the folding hardware for the top....Anyone else with this? I have read some posts about the rear view mirror rattle, and the interior light rattle, but nothing about the noise I am experiencing... Again, a minor annoyance....but can still it can be very distracting......

It sounds like you have the noise with a passenger? If so, I don't have such a rattle so I'm of no use (not that I'm much good for anything else, either). However, if it's only when a passenger is NOT in the car, check the passenger seat belt buckle. I suspect a lot of rattle complaints come back to that one little thing...

Ii think you misunderstood me, the noise is constant, passenger or not.....I know for a fact that is not the seat belt buckle...

So tea-man, other than the roof rattle what other complaints do you have?

No other complaints, the car lives up to it's reputation.....BUT...it would be nice if the weather would break to fully enjoy the car!! By the way what is the delivery date for your car?

Glad to hear you have no complaints!

Holtz has yet to give me a real date, they keep saying the end of this month. The car is on the ship and I am waiting for the "shipped" date which means the shipping is done and it is ready to go by train. I sure hope like hell it is soon!

Triple H, one consolation to the end of the month delivery......this crappy weather may be gone by then....I had the car looking TITS this past Sunday....today, when I parked it at work it just makes me sick seeing it dirty from the combination of the rain and crap that's on the roadways.... But it's my fault, I step into the garage in the morning...there are three choices for the daily commute....and I don't have to tell you which one I will choose!!!

This is going to sound strange, but I am sort of hoping it is raining cats and dogs when I pick up the car.

It will be a day or so before I remove the hardtop for the first time because I have to go home on the weekend to Mom & Dad's house so I can have help lifting it off the car. I will be building a stand and a hoist for it and Daddy is the one with all the big power tools.

So if it is not raining I'm thinking I will be sad I can't drop the top. Oh well, I guess I can live through that stress- stuck driving an S2000 Hardtop on a warm day. Life could be worse!

I've done it on several occasions and it's not all that bad. If my luck holds I'll talk my neighbor into a hardtop removal party this weekend. Then I, too, will have to build the top holder, a task I've put off for far too long. As for the raining cats and dogs, I think our roads down here are finally clear of salt or at least most of it and that's definitely a good thing.
