Wicked good fab.
Bar seems low. Was that as high as you could get the main loop?
Could be just the angle of the pics...

Hoop is 1/2" higher then the mugen, can't go any higher and still use the soft top.

Nice work, but wow, that seems really low.
Is that installed into position?
Is it really that low?

I think it is just the angle of the picture. If you compare it to the stock roll hoops it's about 3-4" higher. Comparing it with pictures of the hard dog and stock seats it would be the same height if not a tad higher as well. It's at the max height for a soft top, 1/4" higher and it wouldn't work. If you had a hard top you could probably get another inch or so out of it but i'm 6'4" and i have pleanty of room between the bar and my head so i don't know why you would need to go any higher.

I'm just so glad I'm not real tall...
When I did mine I kept the OEM hoops and storage, and moved the bar as far forward as I could
Because of this the bar is able to be much higher because it is closer to the fulcrum point of the softop's arc
The top of my bar is at the same height as the top of the front windshield frame, but I don't have full seat travel, just enough seat travel for my body
I figured as I bought the car when I was 42, I had stopped getting taller

I'll attest to that. I couldn't fit in your passenger side without liposuction and a Lt. Dan conversion...

I think that explains why the roll bar looks a little short. Your bar curves forward, his does not. and with Jeff - I've had to contort myself to get in to your passenger seat as well

Good work Jsenclosure.

[QUOTE=jsenclosure,Feb 6 2011, 12:31 PM] First we made the rear hoop, two 90degree bends on the same plane.

I knew when I bought the car I would never get rid of it, so I have never cared about anybody other than me fitting inside. I fit perfectly.
