8 sign-ups for now. Including Greg that will make us 9. Just compared this to past years. We had 8 the first year, 9 last year and it looks like we are at 9 again.

My idea behind starting this up was to get more people to come out on track. While the numbers were below what I expected, it has nevertheless been a great summer event. Got to spend time with some good people on here as well as made some new friends. Learned new track jargon like the middle finger point-by and also got to see my first Roundel badged car posing as a Japanese roadster.

The traditional sanctioning organizations have woken up and realized they need to do more to get people on track. So NASA has its hyperdrive event, and now SCCA has come forth with Tracknight in America. Even my local SCCA chapter is hosting an event at Thompson where convertibles (even ones without roll protection) are welcome. As such there are many avenues that offer varying levels of bang for your track buck.

This event is special OR maybe its the track that makes it special. My first two track days were two-day events at Watkins Glen and I'm happy that every time I have visited I have stayed there for two days and driven in all conditions. I for one, will continue patronizing this event in the future. I hope more of you will consider it and sign up either for this year or the year following (if there is interest). :)

Early June :bump:

This event will likely fill up soon and people will go on the wait list. If anyone is considering this, now is the time to sign up.

Hello All,

I don't have an S2000, so can I come and watch or can we do a ride along? I have a dot certified helmet.

Rob

Let me clarify. You can come there and spectate and you can get a ride along with an instructor. They don't let us take passengers for insurance reasons.

JB - it would be awesome if you could participate in the event. If you can't, then I hope Hogan and you will come out to spectate and get a ride along with an instructor and possibly join us for dinner on Monday night as well.

If you are thinking of driving in this event, then the sooner you sign up the better. It is getting close to the time that the event fills up.
