Please help
The wheel and tire forum irked me and I didn't really learn anything, I get the general idea of what a offset is and all that stuff I just don't want to spend this kind of money without making sure my s is not going to handle like crap etc. Using the search engine its very easy to find wheel and tire combo's for volk, advan etc, however there is noway on god's green earth I am paying those prices. I was going to get rota d2 and get some good quality rubber but a bunch of my friends said they would smack me if I put them on the s. A member has some nice volks for $2200, but I don't think he will have them still around February 19th, please don't ask why such a precise date lol. So I am looking for a back up plan because I want wheels damn it, I found these and for around $1800. I can live with that. Gram Lights 57 Optimise Wheel on vividracing, 17x7.5 and 17x8.5. What concerns me is the offset, from what I read everyone says get the offsets closes to stock. These offsets are nowhere close for 17x7.5 vivid offers 33,43 and 50, 17x8.5 only 30 or 40. Please my fellow upstate peeps, any insight much appreciated. Thanks Marcus. p.s I will be getting teins but no more then a inch drop because roads around here suck.
I don't know much about aftermarket wheel fitment, but I found these on the local Craig's list:

Not sure hwere you are from, but it may be worth the trip.

I know nothing about proper offsets.
I have always preferred to stay with OEM wheels, and have just powdercoated them so they look unique.
Good luck.
BTW- Are you an Upstater, you have no address info in your profile.

17x7.5 + 43 will be nice and flush with the fender, +50 would be more like OEM.
As for the rear 17x8.5+40 is mighty aggressive. I'm 17x8.5+45 and its hella flush, might even be too much as I just dropped the car.
You can do the +40 but you'll be rolling fender.

Triple H- I do need to update stuff, and I want to become a member just so busy all the time lol. I live in Kingston, the most boring place in New York its about 45 minutes from Wappingers Falls. I will be trying to attend meets this year, hopefully I can find one no more than an hour two hours away. I wanted to attend last yeah but the whip was stock and didn't want to show with a stocker, I know I know but its just my thing. I think I am just going to powder coat the stocks like a darker bronze plus it will free up funds for other goodies. Thanks for the input everyone.

Honestly, I think bronze with your light/bright silver would be a strange color combo. I would think a nice cool dark grey would be better.
Here are some off the powdercoatings I have had done.
