I know it is "out of the way" and would cut into your already busy schedule, but hey, you never know.

Did a little more work on the Volvo last night. Managed to get the rear sound insulation (Hushmat) and carpets and the driver's side seat belt installed. Ran out of necessary hardware to complete the passenger side seatbelt.

I installed something simpler in the Si. A headrest GoPro mount. I’d given my old mount to a one time coworker and autocrossing friend. Figured I’d get this to get video of my hands and feet too.

Volvo 444 Nice to have progress.

Edit: Tried sending you a PM with contact info but it failed. Did the same last fall and the same. Not sure why this is happening.

The theory was that we might climb Colvin, but I suspected snow above 3,000 feet and the parents and kids didn't have snowshoes or ice cleats, so we passed, putting it off until next Saturday.

So a short little bushwack up Niger was the alternate as this hill overlooks LP. We got turned around a bit as my GPS wasn't picking up enough satellites, but eventually found the rocky peak. Evidence of some sort of wildlife all over the place. As we are looking over towards Giant and then Dial and Nippletop beyond, one dog and then the other go missing.

A baby porcupine is wounded and both dogs have quills in their noses and around their lips. Rushed forced extraction off the hill and the dogs are taken to the emergency vet somewhere near Saratoga. Unbeknownst to us, the one dog also had a mouthful of quills. But all is fine now, except for the porcupine.

One of the kids (little girl) got pretty hysterical. Last thing needed under quasi-emergency conditions is a hysterical companion.
