I have joined the group!, I ended up going to Cleveland for my 2003 Silver, I am working on getting it back to Saratoga. I do not have any mechanical abilities, so will be looking for help. I know Gary at Child’s automotive is great with Honda, anybody take your S2000 there?
Jsenclosure is a good resource for you to reach out to. He knows a thing or two about our cars. Also Billman on Long Island is a great resource and well worth the day spent to get a clean bill of health for the car. No experience with CHilds. Just make sure you use 10W-30 during the warmer months and 5w-30 if you plan to drive the car during the winter.
Honda MTF is best for transmission and only use 75w-90 or higher gear oil for the differential. Honda dealers typically don’t carry the correct differential fluid.
Get your rear axle nuts retorqued, unless the current owner has already done so. Other than that you should be good.
Also always ensure you have good tires on the car. They make a huge difference and will ensure you continue to enjoy the car in good health

According to my daughter, she sees two S2000s in Saratoga, although they do not seem to be on these boards. She's making noises about borrowing my car again in mid July.

Just for the record, I want to report that the beneficiaries under my will once again tried to hasten my demise with another one of those walks in the woods.
This time we climbed Seymour which I think was my #39 of the High Peaks. Walked in about 4.8 miles worth of mud and rain on Friday and made camp in a not so good spot because it was late and the kids and I were at our limit. Had we only continued on about 300 feet, we would have had a beautiful site! Saturday under clearing skies, we hiked up the mountain, probably about 2,800 feet of elevation gain over about 1.5 miles. Very rough trail in spots, mud and then snow over 3,800 feet. Made it to the top and weather had cleared and we had what I think is my very best view in the Adirondacks. Range after range of mountains. And many lakes. Hauled our carcasses back down the mountain - slow going for the old man. Cooked supper as the wind started to howl and rain by the time we were finished. Nowhere to sit, so we all retired to our respective shelters by around 5:00 p.m. High winds and thunderstorms all around us throughout the night, but we missed the deluge.
Walked back out the next morning. Mud and voracious Black Flies. I had had the foresight to take my special black fly juice left over from 1974 - and of course everybody laughed at me. But no one was laughing when I dug it out on Sunday. Of course, this stuff is stronger than 100% DEET so it probably causes skin cancer or other serious illnesses. But who cares! A serious illness is nothing compared to a swarm of those blood sucking varmints.
Got out alive, but quite worn out.
