From the first meet I attended on 3/28 that Ellen and Jeremy organized. I think we met for breakfast at the Latham 76 diner and then did a trip up to Saratoga. Hard to believe I’ve been here this long and still count so many as friends to this day. It’s a special car we own.

Yes the OEM look is the best for me too. Thanks for the tip. This is where my next battery will come from.

Tire Rack Street Survival school on April 24th at Saratoga Auto Museum. If you know any young drivers, please pass this along. They still have openings.

That's a great idea. NYS (hell, anywhere in the US) has far too lenient requirements for a driver's license. If you can stop at a stop sign, manage a three point turn, and parallel park - congratulations! You are now fit to drive on a congested 10 lane highway! At rush hour. In a blizzard.

I wish we would adopt the Finnish model. Either that or self-driving cars can become the norm. Either is fine with me.

Well, the saga * continues.

... When last we saw the old two seater, it was being repaired and painted due to crash wall damage suffered at the treacherous Park of Lime Rocks. Then, on the Road to Winter Storage, something seemed amiss, what with the steering wanting to pull to the right. But winter threatens and salt is already on the byway, so into the barn it is placed.

Five long months have passed, torrential rains have swept the roads clear - the flooding also helped! - so I venture to the barn to see if the bats and mice have consumed the wiring. A superficial inspection reveals no wiring mishaps. But the front, right tire seems flat, or mostly flat. Of course, I have neither time nor tools to deal with that - so I carefully back out of the barn, place the lock in the clasp and retire to the safety of my home.

Took the Type R out for the first spin of the season. Happy to report nothing is amiss.

Road conditions here are mostly garbage, so little fun was had. Kept it in comfort mode for most of the drive just due to the horrible pavement.

I thought I would receive more sympathy - er, ... well, at least some - for my tire.

I'll pour one out for your tire later tonight.

And by 'pour out', I mean 'down my throat'.

And by 'one' I mean 'six'.

maybe it’s not a flat and only needs some air.
