Default Where to get wheels refinished?

I live in Vermont. I have a set of JDM BBS ap1 16 inch wheels and center caps that I want to refinish (strip, paint and clear coat, not powder coat). The shops I have been able to find all say they want about $200 per wheel and they cannot touch the center caps.

Do you know of a shop not too far from Vermont that will do this sort of thing? It just does not seem like that big a deal to me and I know members in Canada who have had it done beautifully for about half that including the center caps.

Can't help you in Vermont, but for reference,I had a local shop quote $165 per wheel to refinish my wife's 18" OEM Accord wheels. That was pre-tax, so $200 isn't unreasonable if it includes tax.

The problem is not just price. All the shops I am finding tell me that will paint and clear the face only, not the barrel and not the center caps. No clue why they can't/won't paint and clear the barrels and caps.

Yeah, that doesn't make a lot of sense.

After a lot of searching I'm working with a custom vintage car restoration shop that does very high quality work. Not sure re the $ yet. But, if the price is in the ball park I think this is the way I am going to go.
