iPhone 4
What's up metro, as you guys know verizon came out with an iPhone 4 (3g). It's going to be available to the public in feb 10. Anyone here thinking of buying one?
I have the old school 1st gen iPhone with AT&T service. I'm paying close to $100 a month for my current Iphone which has decent reception, iffy edge network, and unlimited text (not offered anymore).
I wonder how the verizon iPhone will be different. Im assuming the phone would probably cost the same as well as the mothly bill. I also wonder how many AT&T users are going to make the switch. I heard there's a $300 cancelation fee now with AT&T, good thing I don't have a contract.

I have been on Verizon for about 11 years
Verizon's got the best network but the worse phones, they're not the cheapest either. Their phones do not last more than a year so 1 year contract is the way to go IMO.
Verizon's CDMA network doesn't support simultaneous voice and data as with the GSM version.

I have the iphone 4 with ATT. Works great. I can't think of a single time I had a dropped call or anything. Only pay $15 a month for data plan as I don't use it too much. Thought I had unlimited texts but maybe they reduced it? Paid for unlimited at least during my last 2 year upgrade.
^ I seem to have bad receiption at my house in queens. I get dropped calls here and there mostly when I'm in my house. I have unlimited Internet and text, they stopped offering that a while back. I asked AT&T if I were to upgrade and use their iPhone 4 would my monthly bill be the same, they told me I would have to pay an additional $10 for the 3g service (even though it's not available everywhere) but I would still have unlimited Internet and text.
