Default Netflix - Through TV

Just got a new TV with internet built in (sorry not techy, forgot what this is called) so there's a big netflix button on the remote so i set myself up with Netflix for the 1 month trial and found the selections to be pretty short. i was into Netflix for years when it came out but i don't seem to have access to the same amount of movies, concerts etc.

What am i missing?

You should have access to the same movies that are available through the online website or the Netflix app. Have you tried searching for a movie that is available via web? My TV has the Netflix app & has the same selection as other media sources.

You will not find ANY HBO material on NetFlix for the next 5 (maybe 10) years.

edit: 10 years

Netflix streaming seems to be better on TV shows than movies. Of course you have to wait for a particular season to come out on DVD, then another 28 days or something to appear on Netflix.

The streaming version of netflix doesn't include all the movies that they have since certain movies are still only available as DVD/Blu-Rays from their subscription service.

netflix has been sucking balls lately, the price is way higher than when i first joined a couple years ago, and the instant stream is hit or miss, great for most tv series tho, and having every episode of family guy and south park on there is a great time killer

netflix lost some deals it had with certain companies thats why netflix isnt as good. TV shows Hulu is good. I currently switched to amazon prime since i like the fact that you get free 2 day shipping along with the instant video streaming. Along with my current TV subscriptions netflix is kinda not worth it. theres alot of changes coming up since CES just passed. time warner just signed a contract to put 300 + channels available on Roku i believe. but then again its only a plus if you have TWC.

I must have read your original post wrong. Are you looking to stream movies that are available on DVD/Blu-Ray? If so, Netflix has a very narrow selection of movies available for streaming. I am addicted to watching documentaries on Netflix.
