i would rather take a girl to a hole in the wall place with good food then a super expensive pricey restaurant.

remember, first dates pretty much set the tone for the rest of the way the dates will go.

make her earn a nice fancy place for the future

instead of weestchester, why not drive down into the city.

just my .02

everyone has different opinions when it comes to girls and dates

If you want mexican go to Guadalajara in Briarcliff Manor.

If you want italian go to Scaramella's in Dobbs Ferry or Pastina's in Hartsdale.

If you just want something a little more trendy and upscale anything in Bronxville will work.

First of all thanks everyone. This is a "first date" I'm doing my best to get back together with my X. Was never really big on going out for food " I grew up in a 5 star restaurant so I usually just cook. Anyway the city idea is great and i can list 20 amazing places but the s2k is my only car as of right now the frontier is being used by my dad. Driving a slammed s2k in the city is not a turn on one bit for me nor her. I wanted to take her to Mt.Fuji "the place we ate on our real first date" but I would like to start things off fresh. She does love mexican maybe Guadalajara like gofast said. She knows i hate Mexican so at least she would know i was thinking of her when i made the choice.

BTW these places aren't super fancy or expensive but they do have very good food and a classy atmosphere where you won't feel cheap bringing a date there.

I'd do Guadalajara, personally. I'd describe it as upscale mexican. They make the guacamole at your table, have the spanish guy with the guitar making the rounds (if you so desire), and the atmosphere is modern yet warm. Those things will give you some extra topics of conversation if you hit some silence.

Melting Pot in White Plains... fondue is fun on a date. Or Cheesecake Factory... we've had good times there.

Ooooh she's your ex. Good luck!

IIRC there's a bar in Tarrytown with an outside section that has a nice view of the Tappan Zee, it looks nice when the bridge is lit up at night and may be a place to go if you want to get a nightcap. Can't remember the name though...
