Even the Speedvision guys have a little faux pas every now and then, but this was wholly unprofessional. . . I think is how it went:
Saturday night, ABC exec "You guys have to cover tomorrow's FIA event in the US"
Commentators: "Uh, OK. Is that like soccer? I think we can handle it"
Exec: "No, thats FIFA, but pretty much the same thing. Just make a lot of allusions to Sports true Americans like, and it'll all be good. I hear we have Preistly in the area. Go to him for tech expertise, and for god sakes, be sure you don't know any of the participants; real Americans don't either. good luck!"
