How should bindings be set for switching forward foot on the fly for tricks
I have been snowboarding for a couple of years now and am starting to experiment with switching my forward foot while I am in motion.
I'm goofy footed and have my Bindings set at 15 and 5 Degrees respectively. When I switch forward foot it seems somewhat unnatural.
Basically , I'd like some feedback from people that are taking jumps and stuff in the half pipe and snowboard park in general.
ie: Both Bindings are set at 0 or 5 or something like that.

im at 18 on the front, and -2 on the rear.. i've been boarding for about 12 years now. i usually stay within the terrain parks, and this set up makes it easier to do fakie tricks or roll out into reverts. it also makes it a little easier to stay on the rails as well..
for all around mountain riding, i'll turn the fronts up to about 20 and the rears to +5. this way my shins dont hurt as much.
but, dont do what i do, you have to experiment and play with your settings. i used to be a sponsored skateboarder and my riding style totally reflects that.
go hit the slopes with a screwdriver, and set it to your liking (wear an extra pair of shorts under your pants cuz you'll be on your ass for most of the day tweaking your settings
)

heres a newbie question:
what kind of boots would you recommend? ive been riding for about 2 seasons now and have always used rentals. however this year i want to buy equipment and have finally settled on the board and bindings but am clueless on what type of boots i want. i am planning on getting strap ins and am looking at burton models. any recommendations?
chris
i want something with alot of cushion. thats pretty much it. just a really comfortable boot that doesnt cost over 200 dollars.

SeaDo,
I'm about where you are now... goofy, starting to ride fakie this season. I set my board at +0, +0, and can ride naturally when goofy, but I'm on my ass every 5 minutes still when fakie. I figure my feet are closer to correct when fakie with this setup. It's possible to do, I just need more practice.
