Yeah, you wasted $20. Why did you even wait that long? If I am not served in 20 minutes, I am out the door, unless they make a convincing case for me to stay.

 

One time my wife, son and I went to an independent Denny's type of place, and had to sit there watching many others come in after us, eat, and leave while we waited for our food. I think we might have gotten the salads, then nothing.... I was disgusted and left without paying a dime.

 

No excuse for that. I own a restaurant...and last Sunday we got slammed I had a party of 6 wait 35-40 minutes for their food...so I took the check for $130 and told them it was on us. Hurt like hell to do it, but hopefully and I think they'll come back. Just like every other business, thing sometimes go wrong...but if they offer no apology or don't try and make it better....SCREW 'EM.
