I remember as a child I used to read a children's magazine called "Highlights for Children". It had all sorts of children's stories, lessons, and puzzles. on the back cover of the magazine there would always be a picture which looked like the picture on the front cover, however the one on the back would have strange twists to it. For instance, if the front cover had a picture of whale swimming in the ocean, the back cover would show the whale flying through the air. And the caption would say, "how many things can you spot wrong with this picture?"

The location of the shifter on that civic is that whale flying through the air.

 

I like it. It does have that Star Trek shuttle/Ford Focus thing going, but I think it's pretty cool. Looks like a modern take on the old Civic Si's hatches from way back when.

I'd bet this is one of those designs you have to see in person to get. The picture is obviously not a good one to get a feel for the actual proportions and lines of the car.

 

That shifter on the dash is cool, but I really don't like the looks of the car.

 

I guess Honda is going after the Euro styling. Looks OK, but not too crazy about the placement of the shifter.

 

I'm sure if the Civic Type R version of this was sold at the dealership as well, it would be a different story. Then again, that's more that likely to be impossible.

 

kuni, I seriously thought you posted pictures of the Odyssey when I first saw it. Didn;t know it was the Civic Si. Geee, can't you just wait for the rice boys to get there hands on this and start modifying it.

 

It's already happening in Japan. I think I've seen some companies do some work on them.
