The SSC and its like make me laugh. Those are not cars. They are low-flying aircraft! Solid titanium wheels. I know you can't put an exact theshold on when it was still a car but I can tell when we're past it.
These "cars" should have some other constraints, like being able to make a certain street journey, before being allowed to compete for speed records as "cars."
