Not that I'm a proponent of this sort of stuff...

But it's kind of ironic that the state says he's stealing from dead people, when for the most part, the state would have taken the money from the dead people anyway.

He is stealing from rightful heirs and the people of the state.. just a low-life thief.

when they auctioned off the cars and received $400K, where does that go? where does all of his stuff that he hijacked go? Hopefully the rightful owners will be able to obtain some of it back - right?

Well, no doubt what he did was wrong, but this line kind rubs me funny.
"What a betrayal of trust this was. Here's a guy apparently stealing from the dead, and no one at the county paying attention,"

Stealing from the dead? I can't see that making any differance unless legitamate heirs are involved. I love the way the government spins things..man they are good.

It's just crazy what people will do and deem acceptable to themselves.

What about his attorney's comments. Caught with mountains of evidence, his attorney says he's not a criminal, and he inherited it all. Does he think everyone else is stupid?
How do you know when an attorney is lying? His lips are moving.
(sorry to all you attorneys on the board)
