First of all i asure you i am not the only one that classifies it as a planet. Call it a minor planet if you will. Call it a very large asteriod if you will. *which most planets are anyways).

And acording to the site you just provided "the largest asteriod by far is ceres" and it is only 933km in diameter. About 575 miles. Sedna is twice as large.

I just found this press release from NASA regarding Sedna:

In it they refer to Sedna as a "planatoid".
