120mph rollercoaster!!!
Why do people like coasters ? For me they have you strapped in ,no fear of falling out .Then people raise their arms when the coaster drops (real brave ,your strapped in and not going anywhere) where is the real thrill? If I want to experience that copper taste of fear I will ride my sportbike in the canyons or at the track . There you get real speed and if you do screw up real danger not ooh feel that plunge or any of that fake "fear" for lack of a better word . Or if I want to experience a plunge I go sky diving and feel a real drop. Just want to hear others points of view. I looked up the chances of dying in a coaster and it's next to nill relative to the amount of riders so they are very safe. You know that getting on the ride, why does this entertain some people ?

WFO racer, dont mean to get personal here but that was one of the stupidest point of views I have ever come across. Again its your opinion not mine. Just a really dumb way of looking at the topic.

So your telling me your willing to wait in those long lines ( and all for a 2/3 minute ride ) to get on a ride knowing your gonna walk away with no real danger to you and just pretend to be scared. That to me is beyond stupid , like I said before brave bastards all strapped in raising their arms . Why not get scared for real ? I guess enough people will do that based on the number of parks open.
Some people have phobias that exist that are hard to get rid of. Even knowing they're strapped in and relatively safe, they still get scared.
Others like the rush of going fast (which I'm sure we're all guilty of), and this is a safe way to do it. Others like the feeling of weightlessness taking the hills at speed.
It's the entire sensation of riding a ride. Some are more fun than others.
Why go to a scary movie if you know you'll come out alive? Why go on vacation when you can sleep in your own bed?
Not trying to change your opinion on roller coasters, just trying to help explain what others see in them.

It's all about comfort. Some people cant feel safe on a bike and still ride at 120 mph. I miss my bike, but the coasters are totally different feeling. I mean where can you get that drop feeling dropping 25 stories? Unless you drive off a cliff!!
