Another chance at 4.

I wonder how the taxation on such a purchase works. Is the difference between paid and MSRP considered a "gift" and taxed accordingly?

does it really matter when you pick up a brand new z4 for 5 grand?
the quantity is "extremely" limited...meaning they only have 1 or 2...

I'm betting tax is paid on the full MSRP.. most people that win shit on the price is right can't afford to take it home

you pay tax on the "wish list" price. it says that in the box or the discretion portion. its same as buying a $5000 used car from a dealership

and...they sold out within 2 seconds

"Do I have to pay tax?
Yes. You will be responsible for your state's individual tax rates. The sales tax charged, if applicable, will be on the actual price paid (the WishList price) rather than the recommended retail price. All purchases may be subject to personal income tax (federal, state, and local) based on the discount amount off the fair market value of each of the item(s) purchased. Discount amounts of more than $600 per Cardmember across one or multiple purchases are subject to income tax and you will receive a Form 1099-MISC. American Express, where applicable, will provide funds to Cardmembers to help defray income taxes. You will receive a package in the mail with full details on how to receive those funds."
