My, how times have changed, and in these cases for the worse.

That's about the same as it was in 1968 when I graduated from high school, especially in a rural area. Lots of shotguns in the cars and trucks from before school hunting, small game and deer.

1958-Dodgeball considered a fun gym-time exercise for the kiddies.

2008- Dodgeball banned because it's too physical and choosing teams makes out of shape kids feel inadequate

Does anyone remember when this happened? It was a couple years ago but I remember reading about dodgeball being banned as a school gym activity

But the game is also being targeted as unfair, exclusionary, and warlike for school-age youngsters; some schools in Maine, Maryland, New York, Virginia, Texas, Massachusetts and Utah have banned dodgeball, or its variations, including war ball, monster ball and kill ball.

well while they're at it, might as well ban contact sports. that may not be appropriate for kids. they could also put up a billboard that says "childhood obeisity for the win"

yeah... this kids need to get out and friggin play outside and these parents just need to let their kids friggin play.

i dont care that you think the wii is good exercise its no substitute for a good game of basketball/dodgeball/soccer/etc.

stupid lawsuits... i like dodgeball too

Hell, we used to shoot BB guns at each other. Below the waist anyway.
