People will say this cannot happen and I am delusional. I say know your history. It is precisely the ignorance of so many as to why that this can and will happen. The Greek Empire and the Roman Empire are just two examples that all good things must come to an end. Connect the dots my friends....connect the dots. The life you save may be your own. I know I am right.
I don't think you're delusional; I think you're a self-righteous asshole. . . not that I think that's inherently a bad thing.
. . . I still don't think you're completely delusional.

Karl Marx said that communism is a historical inevitability. However, addressing chips falling and then back-tracking to Golitsyn is specious thinking.

So, without trying to counter with an equally long laundry list, I'll use a few simple counters:

1. Russians are inherently too paranoid. The last 30 have been the most quiet of the last 800. I don't doubt that there might be a push toward global Russian domination, but their paranoia puts the Sino-Russian truce idea into HIGH question.

1a. The Chinese I'm sure have their own agenda. They're Chinese before they are Maoists.

2. Our Supreme Court could assert greater authority if need be. Granted, as you repeatedly get at, it could be doing so for the greater good of the International Communist Movement, but I doubt it, considering how Conservative they are.

3. Your ties of President Elect Obama and Middle East money is tenuous. If you can tie Warren Buffet in with the lot, you'll maintain my attention.

I do COMPLETELY agree that The United States, like any Empire, may have had it's day. The difference is, where you see failure, I see the liberated joy in reinvention.

The issue we have is the continued tyranny of the few over the many. I have every reason to think you're mistaking Robspierres and Chairmen Maos for Obamas and even McCains.

As I said, a bit in jest, it's difficult to exacerbate the proletariat when they're part of an ESPP.

It's also wildly difficult to incite the workers to seize the means of production in a service economy.

You've still got a bit of a tough sell, and xenophobia isn't going to cut it.

Or more likely, they're already plotting an assassination attempt.

What's the over/under on number of days before 1st assassination attempt?

Oh, and say hello to the FBI & Secret Service, because they are probably now actively monitoring this thread because it has the words Obama & assassination in it.
Their feeble attempt has already occurred. I wouldn't worry about either of these groups, neither have the expertise or training.

You don't need expertise or training to gang rush a president and his secret service

I wouldn't be so sure. These guys probably spend a lot of time in the backwoods hunting various creatures. I suspect one or more of them is an expert rifleman/marksman. All they have to do is get their deerstand in the right location and let the game come to them.

Now that the election of 2008 is over, I have decided that since several of the candidates campaigned for over 2 years that I can campaign for 4 years.

I think that makes me the first person to declare themselves for the 2012 Presidential election.

It happened here on S2Ki first.
I support ncsu-tc for president!

also can I be VP

My cousin married a guy with the last name west. My last name is Berlin. If he and I ran we'd be the West Berlin 2012 campaign. Now that's a team everyone can get on board with. Unless you don't like ze Germans.

It's cool, if Palin was qualified, then I can totally handle it. I know this because I pronounce 95% of the word-ending g's. I'd rather sit in the background enjoying the perks while the Prez takes all the heat.

I would argue that Palin was NOT qualified, but I get your point
