The design was influenced by the Lotus Elan. Do a search, it looks like a smaller Miata

Hang on a second, I think we are getting away from the true question that needs to be asked: What do you mean the S2000 is not a great looking car?!?!
I think the styling on the S2000 is outstanding!!! By the way, whether its a concept vehicle or not, it is ugly as sin.
