The CarPoint article said a 8.3L V8. Did I read that right? Switch from a V10 to a V8?

My friend is already talking about trying to get a hold of one of the new V8s they're going to put in it when they come out. It's got a bit more torque than his current motor. They should sound quite a bit better than the V10 too.

I this the one in the video and the one in the links are the same, different styling options perhaps (hardtop, stripe, etc) but basically the same. The video sez 500+cu. in. 500+hp 500+ft/lbs. That is one MF of a motor! It's not as technical as the S, bigger for sure, but could swallow the S whole.

It will kick your ass anywhere, anytime. As for styling I don't see your point greg. I think you are talking about Harley Davidsons there. The Viper is a ligitimate and very successful race car. In the GT class they are a lock beating 911's and R5 vettes with ease.

It's too much car for me but I appreciate it being out there. ABS or not this car, and it's earier model, will just make you look silly on the track. It's in a whole different league.

JRM,

These are photos I took at the SF Auto show late last year (where I got to sit in my first S2000 and subsequently bought one).

I can upload the 1600x1200 image when I get home... shoot me an email to remind me and I'll send it to you.

Here are more from my directory:

I was really just joking around in my earlier post on this thread. I recognize the car and its impact on racing and admire it for its place among very high performance cars. My post was really in jest...an attempt at humor that may or may not have worked...

I thought it was funny...sorry if you and others missed that.

Hey Loki or anyone else for that matter...in looking at the car from the SF show, I see what appears to be an intake on top of the cabin. Any idea what that is used for?
