Am I behind on current "features" of google or did anyone find the 3d feature on google map pretty sweet?

 

Im not really sure what you are refering to. The street view? If so yes it is very cool, if not please elaborate.

Post date is April 1st. Time is 6:55 am. This information is going to be difference for everyone.

 

Google Earth has supported 3D views for a while now. If this is an April Fool's joke, it's not very effective.

 

it's called "Aerial Imagery" and it's only available in a handful of locations. cool idea but it's going to take some time to span to a wider area.

I just checked out StreetView and saw the icon

it just overlaps the image in red/cyan, pretty funny

 

If you actually go into street view...there is a new option for a 3D image. I don't know if it actually works, but that is what the OP is talking about.

It has showed up in a list of online April 1st jokes, so I'm guessing it isn't going to stay around for very long.
