500 Hours in MS Paint
I think it is important to understand that, while the picture is absolutely fantastic regardless of the tool, what gives it the incredible finished impression is the result of Photoshop. The image before photoshop looked quite raw (comparatively), which you can see if you zoom in a bit. You can actually see where he used the photoshop tools for blurring, which adds so much realism and art to the pic.
I am in no way diminishing this guy's work, just that without Photoshop, it'd look like a scene out of a early 90's sprite-animated adventure game. This guy did a remarkable job finishing the piece, and zooming in you can literally see the brush strokes. It always amazes me that such simple techniques result in fascinating artwork.

I uploaded copies of the pics.
Saki GT, I think you missed the point entirely. This post wasn't "MS Paint produces the best images evar!" it was "Wow, look at and appreciate the painstaking work of this artist." Do you scoff at oil paint too? It takes much longer to do than Photoshop...

While I think the pic is damn good, and he's very talented, it's sort of akin to painting with your feet. Yeah you can do it, but why? He could have spent that 500 hours creating something even better with the right tool...
