Default 60 in a 40

Just got issued a warning for speeding, officially 60 in a 40, but I was going faster than that (around 70). I thought I was a goner, but luckily enough just got a warning. Girlfriend says I'm the luckiest bastard in the world (been pulled over 15 times, no tickets ever). He didn't pace me or anything, he was waiting at the light to go straight ahead when he saw me blow by.
My question is the following. Do they keep track of written warnings? And if so, how long do they stay in the system. This is my first written anything in the 8 years that I have been driving.

Yes, they do! Generally, the officer will keep it on file. If your caught again by him you'll get no reprieve! Fed, I'd count your blessings and learn to take your foot out of it. If you think you're going to keep getting away with it your only fooling yourself. Just a friendly reminder! I'd hate to see you get a really tough moving violation. Twenty over in a residential is reckless operation. That's a 6 month revocation of driving privilages and a possible $800-$1000 dollar fine. "OUCH"

Mandatory drivers safety education, an automatic 6 points that will stay on your license for three years. Not to mention, a great increase in your monthly insurance premiums and that's only if they don't drop you. Most will just drop you, due to being high risk. "DOUBLE OUCH" No joke, a for real deal!

I'm aware of that. This time I wasn't paying attention, I was actually having an argumetn with my girlfriend at the time, guess I kinda took it out on the road without noticing. Ok, so the officer keeps it on file, does it go into some database that is shared by everyone though?

Yes, sometimes if the officer is not lazy! Anytime a ticket is issued even a warning it must be entered. Officer, protection for probable cause stop. Plus, the warning citation has a number and the officer is accountable for their ticket books. Now, if he just gave you a verbal then that's different! This happens sometime and he was just being generous. Just chill and do the opposite you think about in those situations. If you get angry just laugh it off. Don't steam over it. There's your anger management lesson for today!

Looking through the warning, there is no printed number on it. Oh well, hopefully, I'll get lucky and he'll be lazy.

You are one lucky guy. Everytime I've been pulled over, I always get a ticket. Maybe their racial profiling me.

Dude, I'm hispanic. Hispanic, in a nice neighborhood with a somewhat nice car. No wonder they spent 20 minutes in the patrol car, They were probably even checking my credit history!!

I never mess with cops, just stay calm answer yes sir, no sir, and try not to be a smarta$$.
