I'm sure some of you Californians already know this but $500,000 nets you a crappy house in a crappy neighborhood.

I never spend more than I can afford. I dont carry balances on my credit cards. My only loans are school home and car. I wish everyone would do that. In buying my home I wanted a baller home, but the prices on those homes would have stretched me thin. So I bought a nice comfortable home and put baller home on the "possibly in the future" list. Its fiscal responsibility people.

That video was pathetic. I loved her comment about taking off her Tiffany bracelet and leaving her Coach purse at home when she went to the food bank.

sad thing is...whether you like it or not, you are paying for the credit crisis caused by bad mortgages. every month the government is printing money to keep the banks from falling apart. that means inflation is out of control, and you are paying more for regular items whether you like it or not. just today they announce another 100 billion in printed money, to be made available to banks.

relative to gas prices, gold, foreign currencies, i am making less than i was making last year at the same job, despite a raise. on whole, the entire US is living outside our means. see trade deficit for the past few years.
