it is good that you have decided to do this. I'm waiting on one myself; I'm A negative.
To match, the blood type and 6 tissue types used (of which there are way more than 6). Next the tissues of the donor and recipient are tested for antibody formation. Believe it or not, the +/- doesn't matter.
I would register with your local transplant center. They'll get you on the UNOS list.
