My wife thinks she wants an Acura CL. She's concerned how the routine maintenance costs compare to her past Hondas. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

I have a 97 CL V6. The only maintainance that I have needed is oil changes which are cheap and the 15 and 30K services.
The 15K was ~$150 and the 30K was ~$300.
Hope that helps.

Can't speak from experience, but the CL should be every bit as reliable as a Honda product should be. The CL shares a lot of parts with the TL (obviously), and much of the platform/drivetrain is shared with the TL, accord, MDX, and passport.

You change oil when it needs changing (say 7000-8000 miles).
You change tires and brake pads when they are worn.
That's it.
Why would you want to pay the dealers for "services"?
It's not like the chevy lumina.

Passport is coming back next year.
Honda is recycling the name for the new MDX based SUV.
I really question that decision. Unlike oddyssy, Passport has a BAD name and it is not worth reviving!!!!
Oddyssy was simply unknown. It was a good car with bad design. (good as a cab) Passport was simply a BAD car/truck.

Thanks, folks. I'm not the least concerned about reliability; after all, it's a Honda. I was just wondering if Acura charged more for routine service than Honda just because it's an Acura? She's decided on the Satin Silver metallic with the Ebony interior.

Thank goodness she didn't decide on Satin Silver with the Parchmant interior since Honda/Acura doesn't give you interior color options with most of their cars.
