I don't know..it seems a little hypocritical to make a rant on literacy/grammar and then not doublecheck yourself for similar mistakes. You say people shouldnt use "this is a forum" as an excuse, but you just did since "it isnt a business correspondence."
I find an obviously misspelled word to be more troublesome than a missed apostrophe. They are often skipped due to laziness (I've done it...where I don't use them for words like...well....dont). My biggest gripe is those that use text shorthand for normal typing (hey, how RU). Just type it out! It's 2 extra seconds!
People that text even rarely use it anymore because they have full qwerty on their phones many times..haha.

It's not hypocritical, there's a difference between intentional stupidity (your texting example) and an honest misteak.
An occasional fat fingers and small keys experience is OK. It's when you continually show your ignorance that I have a problem with.
You need to take MORE CARE not less when the written word is your only avenue to someone's brain. "It's only the internet" is all the more reason to take care in your communications.

who cares? if you don't like the way that people type on a certain site/in a certain section of a site, then skip their posts/find another place (not talking to anyone specifically)
Punctuation is important in speech too. As evidenced by this -&feature=player_embedded

SHE?!
I'm a dude, and besides, I just read through it again, and apart from a couple of sentences which could have benefited from better structure, there aren't any 'mistakes'.
Comma in the one-line second paragraph isn't really necessary. Use of the word 'cos' instead of 'because'. Last comma in third paragraph is acceptable, but would have been better as a semi-colon. The last 'and' in the 5th paragraph should be removed and replaced with a comma. Lack of use of proper articles in the parentheses at the end of the post.
That's it.

But we're on a forum, so it doesn't matter that much to me.
