(Mr. Spock's voice) Pain...pain!

2 months unemployment is leading me closer and closer to that invisible line on my money software where "savings" = $0...and where the car(s) must go...

the fall from grace is both hard and agonizing, now i can understand why unemployed people are more likely to commit suicide...

on the brighter side, i'm catching up to S2K Fan

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it doesn't come to that.

man, you gotta change that mentality. Just find ways to get through, it's college all over again.

I mysef just shelled out close to $2000 yesterday for some new wheels/tires/springs. Man, it was a bad move but I couldn't resist. I'm 18 and about to go to college, I shouldn't be spending money on wheels : /

I should be saving it for beer

Dude, a year from now you will laugh at this post. 76% of the time people who lose their jobs find better ones. You WILL be in that percentile, just believe in yourself. If it's any consolation, I was in your shoes a year and a half ago, now I'm part of the 76%. Chin up.

sorry guys, i didn't mean it that way, but when an usually upbeat guy like i think i am thinks about death...well, it's pretty depressing in itself.

no, i won't do that, but i may be forced to do something just as painful - sell the car. i'm still weighing my options, but Microsoft Money doesn't lie (at least, i hope not ) about that ever dropping line in bank balance.

never figure being out of a job can have such a negative effect on my psych

Just take it a day at a time Rich,
If you want something bad enough ( keeping the S2K ) then make it happen, get out there!
if you have other obligations do what you have to. I can't tell you how many times I've been up, then down. I was quite the risk taker in prior years, having nice cars, hundreds of thousands in the bank, and the next thing I know, I can't afford a hyundai to get me to an $8 hour job. I've since learned the words "budget" and "risk analasys"
I wish you the best of luck, but I'm sure you are going to be just fine.
as a good friend of mine always says "Better days are coming"

Mike

Just do what I have done (going on 3 months of Joblessness...volentary, so no unemployement pay for me though)...... I make my wife work harder! Commissioned jobs pay well when you work hard.... ahahahahah she doesn't think it is funny though!
