umm...parents are human too. i was just going by the words of the article, but context is everything. also, i didn't say that it's okay. i don't condone what he did, but damn, that's HIS child. he should reasonably be allowed to chastise her at his discretion. there is a difference between a bad parent and a mad parent. from one voicemail, how can anyone on the outside looking in can discern the two?

 

100% that parents are human too. No one's perfect, but there's a huge difference between discipline/guiding your child and name calling. If it wasn't such an egregious error, I wonder why a judge felt it neccessary to put a hold on his access.

One voicemail definitely can't give an accurate assessment of parenting capacity, yet there's plenty in that article (assuming it's accurate) to suggest that there's a history inappropriate parenting.

what a ****ing idiot. It sounds like he is drunk. He makes a big deal out of finding a phone like he doesn't have a cell phone.

 

i don't think that's why he's mad. he's mad cuz he made arrangement to call his daughter at a specific time and not only is she not there to receive his call, she does not even have her phone on. from what i understand by listening to the whole message, this is a recurring situation he has to deal with, and he's fed up with it. personally, i can understand why he's so upset. i'd be irate too, if my daughter was to do that to me.
