For all the Beatles fans out there...
Below is a link to a childhood friend of mine and some work he did with the band "Bubble". They sat in last year and did a concert of the entire Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper" album, complete with all the orchestral instruments. I think it's pretty cool. Check it out!
My buddy Andrew is the guy playing the synth on the right side of the stage. In fact, he worked for Korg and you in fact have probably heard his playing before but like the artists who have recorded with him, never even knew it.. See his hands were the ones playing many of the instruments that make up the samples in some of Korg

For a live performance, it was quite good.
If you (and your friend) haven't picked up "Recording The Beatles" by Brian Kehew, I'd HIGHLY recommend it. Between that, and the now out-of-print book containing the studio notes from Abbey Road, provide immense insight into how The Beatles "sounded."
