Why can't we have Super Bowl quality commercials everyday???

Well, lets see why we can't have these commercials everyday . .

$83,000 a second to buy airtime.

20 minutes (according to the page you sent me to) X 60 seconds = 1200 seconds

1200 X $83,000 = $99,600,000.00

now add production time on top of that

 

not to mention this superbowls commercials sucked big time, there were only 1-2 good ones.

 

I think you misunderstood. I meant to say why can't we have more creative commericals like these other than on SuperBowl Sunday? The reason it costs $83K a second has to do with the time slotting, not the making of the commerical. I don't think unless I'm wrong. It seems like there's more thought that goes behind the SB commerical than the regular ones we see on air...

 

Yeah because they cost more to air and because such a big deal is made out of them they can't afford to make a misteak so they have had more thought put into them.

I am with you tho, why do most commercials have to be so asinine?

I find I view commercials negatively. They help me find products I would never buy.

Commercials make me change channels whether it is on the radio or the TV. It seems the same commercials run over and over on the same station until I have to change the station or go mad. This is especially true on radio stations where I can hear the same music on 2-3 stations.

Yesterday was the first time I watched any commercials in a long, long time.

 

Where is the Nextel one with the dudes in the lockerroom, and they are having a 'my cell phone is better than yours duel'. That one was the best by far.

 

X2 on the Tivo. ALthough this year's commericial's were lame. THere's been much better ones in the past. I just wish we had Ad Critic again .. I had a blast on that site before it got bought out.

 

The Pepsi "stunt double" commercial with Jackie Chan is also not on the Google list. Otherwise good collection.
