A friend of mine got golds on ALL licenses, including s license using the dual shock controller.
I saw him get a gold on the last race with the GT One car. It took him aroudn 4-6 hours at his place. He came by and it took him like 20 minutes to get a gold on my PS2.
Of course us being guys and our incredibly *cough* small *cough* egos, I didn't save his gold on my memory card.
HINT : Since the GT One race car has gobs of power, he never put it lower than 3rd gear because there's too much wheelspin on first and second gear. It's good advice, trust me
I personally think it's a waste of time to get all golds in the game since it take the time out of playing the other races
