Default Aloe Vera

I feel asleep last night w/ the radio on and woke up this morning to a guy spouting the miracle cures of aloe vera. (spelling?) He said it increases circulation by 700% claimed it has decreased tumors, increased energy levels etc. has anyone ever used this?

Aloe vera is in a multitude of skin lotions. It has been used for years to, supposedly, help with dry skin. Oh, and by the way, the guy's BSing listeners. He has an idea and he is marketing it. Just like those electronic ab belts. Can you say scam???

No home is complete without this plant!
I have NEVER found anything that helps a burn like breaking off a fat juicy leaf of Aloe, breaking it open and holding the goo from the leaf on the burn right after it happens.
I'm sure the plant has other medicinal properties, but in curing a burn I have to admit, I have tested it over and over and it works!

My mother tried to feed me aloe as a drink once many moons ago.

Man its some vile stuff to swallow. You can't go drinking the topical stuff of course, but if you go to the health food store you can get edible stuff...so they say

It smells bad, but works good for skin wounds (cuts, small burns etc). That's the only thing that has been proven.

My neighbor works at the University Of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) burn unit. He also has an Aloe Vera plant at his house for home burn treatment too. I guess it is good stuff. I'll have to jump over his fence and try this plant out the next time I burn myself.

This guy sells it in concentrated form. One of the other things he claimed was a relative who had gum disease had used it and it cured it. I actually am one of those people who NEVER believe anything they here but do try to believe in keeping an open mind. I also believe the best way to find out about a product is to get an unbiased opinion which is why I asked here. I know the people here will give the straight skinny.
