Default Alternative to eBay?

I don't buy much on eBay, but I waste a lot of time browsing on eBay because it's so large and there are so many listings. I know some people really hate eBay, but is there a worthy alternative?

cheap if you know how to use it.

for example: sever jeans are retail at 100+ and you can get them for 1/3 of the price on ebay.

I think you mean seven jeans right?

Anyways, there's always auctions.yahoo.com and ioffer.com

there's also auctions.amazon.com

IMO though ebay is by far the best auction site, although there are other for sale (not auction) sites that are pretty good for selling/buying stuff.

If you are near a metropolitan area try craigslist.org. I have bought a few things from craigslist. The best thing is it's free to advertise and it's local so usually you don't have to worry about shipping charges.

Oh, one more thing, there's no bidding, you deal directly (thru email or phone) with the seller/buyer.

I just bought a 9 gig 10,000 RPM SCSI hard drive on ebay for 6 cents. Of course the shipping is $8.10.
