Am I crazy?
I jsut went out today and bought the entire first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation in a DVD box set for $118 canadian dollars before tax. I also put the second season on pre-order, cuz it comes out tomorrow. Now...
Am I a trekkie, a trekker, or just nutz?

It seems that the common belief is that I am nutzoid....this is a promising trend
Now, I will inform you that I plan on purchasing all 7 seasons so I have the full collection.

More power to you. Six years ago I bought The Beatles Anthology on VHS. I've yet to open the cellophane. It was just something I had to get. When the Anthology book came out, I bought it and wasn't planning on taking the cellophane off that until my sister-in-law wanted to take a look at it.
Well, I was up all night watching them... and my GAWD Paramount has performed digital magic.... full 5.1 surround sound (which works quite well with voice placement... and when the enterprise flies by camera at warp *drool*)... the original episodes have individually been re-mastered into digital form and are SO CLEAR, CLEAN and CRISP. Very well organized and presented menu system, which is an LCARS mockup (trekkies will understand what I mean).
Shows: 7/10 some of the worst episodes of the series happened in the first two series, but hell, the rest make up for them
Video: 10/10 for takling 15 year old footage and making it look as good or in some instances better than movie quality
Sound: 15/10 on a 5.1 system, just listen when the enterprise flies by camera. also, when on the ship, the background rumble is in full surround sound. SWEEEEEEEEEET
Extras: 8/10 Rare interviews, some behind the scenes items in the "The Beginning", crew profiles, montages of episodes with cast and crew talking about them. Overall, pretty impressive
