When I see the vehicles around here that have the 'in loving memory' stickers in the back window I think about how the world is probably a better place without the people who are mentioned. I'm sure not all of them were lowlifes, but I'm sure a great many were. It seems to go with the type of people who put that on their vehicles. Yesterday I saw one with 2 people's names on back.

The "in loving memory" stuff isn't isolated to cars; I see tshirts with that stuff all the time. With photos.
It's definately not my style, but whatever. It's just a cultural thing. There's a hispanic guy who's a really good customer of mine whose wife passed away recently; she had cancer. He had shirts made up for her and everything. I don't take issue with that at all; it's just the way he knew to show respect and rememberance. Different stokes for different folks. What I DON'T get, or approve of, are people who are displaying stuff like that as a pride thing. Like, they're proud to have known some dude because of the way he died, for example he was killed by cops or a rival gang or something.

The thought comes from the type of people that tend to display this stuff. Again, obviously not all of the deceased are lowlifes.

I feel pretty much the same way about roadside memorials. 99% of them are memorials to idiotic drivers who were A)drunk B)stoned C)talking on the cell D) or a 16 year old out joy-riding in Mommy's car.
