So, on a personal level, when I was in highschool I was a skinny, ADD poster boy and a lot of kids considered me weird. Even though I was nice to everyone, a few guys decided to pick on me. One guy in particular, Chris Patton, played on the soccer team with me and had classes with me. He used to push me around and call me names.

The last week of school, I'm talking to his sister on instant messenger, she tells me about how her parents are gone and that I should come over and swim with her and her friends. So I come over, I knock on the door and her dad hands me the phone. It was Chris on the phone, he was the one that was IM'ing me and he basically called me every name in the book. It really kind of upset me.

About 2 years later I found out he was in the same fraternity as me but at KU and I was at Missouri, so I emailed him just asking about what it was like at his school and saying hi because we had a mutual interest and both went to highschool. He emailed me back letting me know that I was a piece of shit and that I should never email him again and that he was emberassed that I was in the same fraternity as him. I emailed him back letting him know that it was basically on and that if I ever saw him, I would show him how much things have changed since highschool and that he messed with the wrong guy.

At this point I'm about 200 lbs and have been training in MMA for 2 years, he had messed with the wrong guy. I put the word out with everyone I saw in highschool that I was going to beat his ass when I saw him next. Well, 2 years later, his chapter was holding fraternity regionals, he knew I was coming. His house had been cleared out and only had about 12 guys left, he was one of them and he left town that weekend. Then he was at a local bar in St. Louis that I was at and I heard he ducked out the back door. Maybe he's afraid and realized he made a mistake.

Today I see he's a new member of FB... All the anger I had from back then came out in my message. Now, how realistic is it that we'd fight, probably not very. I just would have really liked to have closed that chapter in my life but now that I'm 2 weeks away from being a dad I can't even think about doing something stupid like that but whatever... I'm willing to be he won't even reply.

Did anyone have someone like this in their life ever? Before someone says, man you should have been the bigger person. Put yourself in position and evaluate the situation from my perspective. What do you think?

 

Looks to be a typical bully situation. They pick on you, knowing you wont fight back...but eventually you step up to them and they immediately back down. Unfortunately for him (and you) he messed with you too many times and its officially burned into your brain. By no means would I consider you a "keyboard warrior" as you've actively tried to track him down in person.

Whatever the case, if you ever see him in person just scare the shit out him and be done with it.... Although it looks like you've been doing that for quite awhile now since hes clearly hiding from you.

Sounds like that guy has issues. I think you were the more mature to attempt to put past grieviances behind and be civil with him. Hes a dousche bag to have treated you this way still to this day.

Being in the MMA field too, you know that the guys that can kick the most ass most usually say the least. Its obvious you could smash this guy and hes digging his own grave. A word of advice, dont kick his ass unless its in the ring because you never know when a pussy like that will come back and sue you.

Just block him and ignore him, hes a looser and not worth your time.

Is he in the Tampa area? If so, I know quite afew rings I could talk him into comming to. Then at that point, we can video record this, you stay cool and professional and polite. Politely challenge him to acouple rounds and all his shit talk and bullying is caught on tape , if you get my drift ^^

BTW where abouts do you train now?

 

Let it go. I think the message you posted pretty well closes it out. You're about to become a dad. (BTW, congrats and good luck.) You have much bigger fish to fry now. If he happens to turn up, take him out.

 

I feel your pain Tapout. For years, I was picked on in Junior High and High School and I never knew why. For some reason, something clicked in my Senior year and I started working out as a means of stress relief. I didn't start to get big until mid way through my Freshman year in College.

I never really wanted "revenge" on any body but the thoughts did still linger. I don't really act on any thoughts these days, but it is funny to see some of the people I went to High School with. They look at me like I'm not even the same person anymore. You can almost see a little regret in their eyes. I just tell them the past is the past and not to worry about it.

I sometimes wish I could go back and just wreck on one person that picked on me. Almost like going to prison and beating that ass of the biggest guy you can find, on your first day. Granted, I would have had a "bad reputation", but I'm sure I wouldn't have been picked on as much, if at all.

I had people pick on me who I see on facebook. I let them be. I chuckle to myself because I make in a month what they make in a year. I'm significantly more successful than them.

People in your past are in your past for a reason, because they weren't worth your time in the present.
