Kids doing that can be charged with mischief. I know - I used to do it and I got caught (well, ratted on - my fat friend got stuck in a fence while being chased and he gave me away).

Anyways, no, you shouldn't worry about being an idiot. The guy we hit that day had his pregnant wife in the car - she screamed when we hit the car and he thought she'd miscarried or something.

My wife's window was hit a while back - I chased the kids right to their house then talked to the father. I guarantee that kid didn't do it again. It's dangerous (but it's fun to do - I remember) - get mad all you want. Better yet, get even!

Kids have no sense of their own mortality. They really just can't understand that they could HURT someone doing this.

To them, it's just fun. Which is why someone needs to get them over their knee for a good old fashioned spanking. I used to be stupid enough to throw snowballs (and other things) at cars... I know I got a good beating from my dad when he found out.

Kids will be kids. You can't change that. They do not think of the "what could happen to the driver etc...), only that they are having fun.

I don't think you did anything wrong. Sometimes, kids need a wake up call to re-think things, however, I'm sure they continued anyway.

That's the reason there are minimum ages for driving, drinking etc...

If you drive by the same area again, pack up some snow, lower the roof and open fire with a few return throws. It will rejuvinate you, you will feel 12 all over again.

Good, then they learned their lesson and I would be willing to bet that they won't be doing it again in the future.

People are too afraid (or too damn lazy) to actually really punish their kids for real these days. Spanking them or other similar punishment is becoming 'non-PC' and some parents are just too freaking lazy to care. Seems like every parent believes that their child does no wrong, and that things are not a big deal. When I was growing up my parents would have beat my a$$ for doing stuff like throwing snow balls at passing cars. Honestly, that is the way it should be, to teach respect.

I totally agree with you Meeyatch1. There are parents these days who don't give a damn about their kids, and just let them wander around the mall (past it's closing time) and cause mischief! Then if you DO say anything to the kids, the kids actually threatens you that their father is a lawyer, and will sue you for everything you got! Really burns me up!!!!!!
