It can be pretty hard to determine a person's demeanor and thought train when working only with written words. Especially if the content is cryptic and even more so if its "tongue in cheek" humor. I assumed that you were foolin' around but your original post could easily be taken another way. It might be advantageous to be a little more obvious when attempting to be facetious.
