I record all the shows and watch only the singing, comments by judges, and eventually, the picks. There was a guy that sang early in the first twelve that I had never heard before. (tall, glasses, WASP) I thought his voice was better than all the guys that night. I also think the producers kept him under wraps thinking he would go far, and didn't want viewers seeing too much of him. Didn't work that way.

They should have hired Jewel back as a judge and replaced Paula entirely. The one episode last year that she was on was great. She was like Simon Lite.
