I think I've been pretty vocal on this board in my support for my beloved Halo's so it goes without saying that I'm absolutely elated with how this all ended up.
I do want to make a special point of saying this. Congratulations also to the SF Giants (except Bonds because I still say he exemplifies all that is wrong with the game) and the SF fans. This was an awesome series. Granted, I'm biased but I can't recall a better series. Its too bad the rest of the country tuned out. The Giants played extremely well and IMO all but two of those games could easily have gone either way. I fear that economics and politics will dismantle the Giants next year but I hope that they bounce back strong. Heck, I've been a JT Snow fan for years (still have a Snow replica jersey from the mid 1990's) and while he was doing a pretty good job of killing us, I was quietly rooting for him. The team and the fans should be proud. They were phenominal competition.
I was lucky enough to go to Game 1, Game 2 and Game 6. I couldn't bite the bullet and pay out the nose for Game 7 but this was a year I'll never forget. Game 6 was simply the most magical baseball game I've ever seen. I'm still dumbstruck.
I'm so proud of my team and so thankful that I was able to be at so many games.
What a season, what a team, what a championship.
