Bump-> Me and K-Lo just started watching Macross Frontier, and it was better than we expected.

-> Wangan Midnight is pretty compelling too, but I was kinda irked when the series skiped the part when Akio had an accident in which the Devil Z ends up in flames.

I finished watching Full Metal Panic...didn't like it very much

Totally enjoying Gurren Lagann and can't wait to get started on Eureka 7.

How does Frontier stack up against Macross Plus? Macross Plus was one of my all time favorites..I HATED macross Zero, though...

^ Since you watched the original series, and didn't satisfy you. Why not try out FMP!? Fumoffu? It is way better than the original.

-> Gurren Lagann is really that good, wow! I've been seeing praises on forum after another, I might try it out later on. I've got too many animes to catch up on. Eureka 7 is a good series, we haven't finished it yet and we're at episode 55 or something.

Macross-> I can rate Macross F better than Plus, but its not better than SDF Macross and SDF Macross: DYRL. Zero was okey since its just the prequel, and I haven't watched Macross 7 series yet.

Since only one of these postings lists a Miyazaki film, let me say that I am a huge fan of his films, and anything that comes out of Studio Ghibli (like Takahata's Grave of the Fireflies). I've programmed a Miyazaki retrospective at a major film festival, and frequently have taught his films in class. I am more of an enthusiast than an expert on anime, but enjoy it very much.

I totally agree and I love Miyazaki's films. It's classic. Children and adults can all enjoy his stuff. I have all his movies.

I gotta say tho...graves of the fire flies caught be off guard.
I never expected an anime to have that kind of impact on me. shit was sad....very depressing. my wife didn't want to continue watching it. war sux.

^ Grave of the Fireflies is by far the best anime I've ever watched by date. It was so good it made me cry. In fact even better than most traditional movies with an exception of Schiendler's List.

-> Miyazaki's films has a good balance of animes going mainstream based, instead most series that are genre based in a sense too narrow for most USDM audiences.

Bump-> I'm falling in love with Macross Frontier's music, I can't wait to get that OST myself.

-> As for the Anime, I also can't wait for ep. 19. (although ep.20 is coming this thurs.).

-> Wangan Midnight is on a standstill, I was unable to find episodes beyond ep. 14 (subbed).

-> On Negima!? finding episodes 21 and up (subbed) is hard to come by.

-> Oh well I'll just have to finish Ai Yori Aoshi.
