Another Attack Stopped........?
Personally, I'm worried Bush is going to spend more time sending troops to other countries, and too little time realizing the threat is still on US soil. Personally, I want to see the following things before I fly again:
1) No curbside check-in (this is done)
2) No carry-on luggage other than perhaps a backpack sized container, which can contain only items necessary for the duration of the trip -- i.e. medications or medical devices
3) All carry-on luggage is searched by hand.
4) Armed national gaurdsmen or other military units stationed throughout airports.
These things probably won't happen. I understand everyone's arguments about not wanting to give up civil liberty... but I for one am terrified any other way. I, unfortunately, am expecting another attack in a few more days.

The reports that the turds who were arrested with the falsified documentation were true, but it was determined that they were NOT carrying weapons.
At least that's what I heard on Fox News last night...
I can't believe how freaking stupid these turds must be to try to pull off something like this (whatever the hell they were doing...
) right after the greatest air tragedy in history...
Man, talk about stoopid...!!

I'm pretty sure all of these are being implemented except for #4. There is a lot of debate going around right now as to what to do for airport security. I'd like to see the Federal Agents take over airport security instead of the joke rent a cops they have now.

Of course beefing up airport security is going to help stop attacks SIMILAR TO 911, but this is not going to stop terrorist attacks. The terrorists will have to be stupid beyond comprehension to try the EXACT same thing twice. The next attack will be someone popping open a can of some biological weapon in the middle of a football game or something. This is IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP.
To use the analogy of a leaking dam, we need to lower the water level behind the dam instead of sticking a finger into every crack.
Now, "lowering the water level" can mean a number of things, each of which is being debated on other threads.
"Sticking a finger into every crack" can be discussed in the off-topic forum.
