I was cruising around 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica yesterday and saw my second BMW Z8. This time, it was a black one. Man, those things are starting to be a dime a dozen in So Cal

Since it was the last James Bond car, I know the CEO of MGM has one, but that's the only one I ever see.

I wonder if that was the car I saw yesterday. MGM Plaza is pretty close to 3rd Street. Do you know if he drives a black one???

I wouldn't be surprised if the MGM guy drove a silver one, like in the movie.

I also saw a blk Z8 on my way to Holywood a couple months ago. It looks pretty tight in person especially the blk one.

I'm was thinking it was black, but now I'm wondering if it is silver. It hasn't been parked here for awhile so I forget.

I've seen a few here in S. Orange County. Perhaps I am a bit of a sexist, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that two of them were driven by very nice looking, late 30's/early 40's women. I guess the Z8 isn't what I would consider a girls car (no auto, stiff suspsension, et al) but that just goes to show you what happens when you prejudge!

Beautiful car in person. When we were shopping for the Stook and considering that M roadster, we were lucky enough to have a very cool salesman let us sit in and start one up. It was silver on red and damn if it didn't sound bad ass. That puppy must fly!!!

Irvine BMW has a silver on black on the showroom floor (along with 2 M5's and a new M3) but they are charging something horrendous like $30K over sticker for it. I should also mention that it has the hard top installed and it looks nice.

Da Hapa,

I guess their sugardaddy's make a lot of money.

This was the 2nd Z8 I've seen. The other one was a silver one. Both cars were drivien by pretty old men. It takes you so long to make enough money to buy that car, that you're too old to enjoy it.

I bet I would've beat them both in a race. You're car is only as fast as you're willing to push it.
