Another Jeopardy Thread
So with all the Ken hype (and me thinking he might sweep the first round after about 2 categories) I begun wondering how much money one could theoretically win on a single show.
Assume that all daily doubles are the second question (never seen one as the first) and that you happen to hit them as the last clues in the round and double your money on each, then at the first round you have $35,200 (6 categories at $3K ea - $400 for the D.D. times 2).
The second round you could win another $137,600 (6 catagories at 6K ea - $1600 for the 2 D.D.s times 4)
This gives a total of $172,800 before final Jeopardy.
Doubling that at final, you could potentially win $345,600!
Sound about right?

You're right!
I did forget to add that in, but the rest is correct I believe.
The first round of jeopardy only has one daily double, and like I said its never the first clue in a category. Also, in the first round the clues start at $200, so I used the $400 clue.
So going back, my first round is correct at $35,200, then the second round before daily doubles is another (6x6000)-(2x800) = $34,400. Then add in the first round for a total of $69,600. Double that twice for the DDs and you get $278,400.
You then end up with $556,800 after final.
EDIT: Hey! You changed your post before I posted this.
At least we came up with the same number.
